Easton's Bible Dictionary
Matthew George
Easton (1823-1894) was a Scottish Presbyterian preacher and
writer. His most known work is the Easton's Bible Dictionary
(1897), published three years after his death by Thomas
Nelson. Because of its age, it is now a public domain
resource.
The Easton's Dictionary is one of the most popular King James
Authorized Version Dictionaries ever published. Easton's Bible
Dictionary containing almost 4,000 Bible words with a complete
explanation of its Biblical meaning. Easton's Bible Dictionary
provides informative explanations of histories, people and
customs of the Bible.
This Bible Dictionary is an excellent source and readily
understandable source of information. This is one of Matthew
George Easton's most significant literary achievements.
Another notable work were the English translations of two of
Franz Delitzsch's commentaries. |
